Treasure Coast Jewish Film Festival

Our project began, as many do, with a dream.  The three rabbis of the Greater Treasure Coast Rabbinical Association (Temple Beth Shalom, Temple Beth El Israel, and Temple Beit HaYam) had just completed teaching a course which was open to the three congregations and members of those communities entitled “Introduction to Judaism.”  At the conclusion of the class, they asked for suggestions about future projects which would embrace the three congregations.  One of the students suggested a film series, which would be hosted at one of the three  temples each month; and after which the rabbi from that temple  and/or a special guest speaker  would conduct a discussion.  The series would bring an element of Jewish culture to our region, which heretofore was only available at venues which were at least an hour south of us.  We began with a small committee, an enormous effort and a huge dream.  That dream has become a reality as 2019-2020 marks our fourteenth season.
