Temple Beit HaYam is committed to quality education of all our children. Our Jewish studies begin with Kindergarten and continue through Confirmation. The Religious School meets on Sunday mornings for all students, and on Wednesday afternoons for Hebrew instruction for students in third through seventh grade.
Our Religious School does not just teach “facts” about Jewish history, practice and beliefs. Our philosophy is to inspire our children with joyful Judaism as a regular experience in our lives. We create a genuine community by gathering together each week for discussion and prayer.
Each class participates in family education events in which parents and children learn together. We bring Judaism to life and show our children how to be Jewish every day, not just as a once-a-week event.
Our professional teachers are trained in using hands-on learning activities, art projects, and music. Each grade’s class is featured at a Friday night Shabbat service during the school year to share what they have learned with the whole Temple community.
